
Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She began her acting career by playing supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she played reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt and also played a minor role in the series that ran for a short time The Ex List. She was a part of the young Moira O'Hara in the debut season of FX's American Horror Story, and as Kaylee in the third season. She was Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead and Sophie on NBC's This Is Us. She is also the voice of a variety of characters on the comedy show Family Guy. She is currently voiced by Melinda "Mel" Monroe who is the main character of Netflix's series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien, Connecticut, until 10 years old when she and her mother relocated to California. There, they lived for a year before eventually settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge became interested in acting, photography and singing at the age of 13. Breckenridge re-located to Los Angeles with the help of her mother when she was 15.
