Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She is currently a fighter with the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ as well as co- UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out in the form of a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina later won the Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008 and a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won the fight by second round TKO and won her next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass an overall record of 3-1. Shevchenko had a brief absence from MMA and devoted her time to boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in the same decision. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the fight. Antonina was offered an UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with the unanimous verdict. She then fell in her second fight due to a split verdict. Antonina recovered from this loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner in her next 3-fights beating Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee.
