Candice King is an American actress. She made it to the top of Hollywood's ladder following her role as Caroline Forbes, the lead character in The Vampire Diaries. Although Candice achieved fame in the field of acting, she initially started out her career as a singer. In 2009 she released her debut album "It's Always the Innocent Ones in the United States. The album was comprised of twelve of 14 tracks she composed. In parallel, she was working to develop her acting skills as well guest starring in a couple of shows including How I Met Your Mother and Greek. While her acting career grew steadily however, her breakthrough came until The Vampire Diaries on CW. Instantly, the series became a household name. Candice's acting performance was praised for its excellence. She reprised her role for the whole eight-season series comprising 171 episodes. She was also seen playing her recurring role on The spin-off show The Originals in 2018 and Legacies in 2021.
